I’m too focused to be bothered about divorce rumours – Chris Attoh

Actor Chris Attoh is simply not bothered about the numerous reports that his marriage to Nigerian actress Damilola Adegbite has hit the rocks. According to him, he was not perturbed about of the reports because his home is still intact. In March this year, there were reports that Damilola had walked out of the marriage. The divorce reports gained currency after Chris posted several photos of his wife on social media, wishing her a happy second wedding anniversary on February 14, but Damilola failed to respond or do same. But putting to rest the numerous reports, Chris, in an interview with KMJ on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM said his wife “is wonderful,” and “she is currently in London. She just launched her Alpha Woman project,” which helps to empower women. Asked about the numerous divorce reports, the ‘Shuga’ star noted that, “I don’t hear them, I don’t read them. Nigeria 'gay wedding' bust leads to charges

The accused, arrested last Saturday, have denied the allegations, with their lawyers saying they were illegally detained. The court released the group on bail and the case was remanded to 8 May. Homosexual acts are banned in socially conservative Nigeria and are punishable by up to 14 years in jail. During a court appearance in Chediya-Zaria, the group pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy, unlawful assembly and belonging to an unlawful society. Defence lawyer Yunusa Umar said most of the accused were students and had been illegally detained for more than 24 hours, the local Premium Times newspaper reported. EFCC Recovers N250Million Cash From Balogun Market, Lagos Today (Pics)

Relying on another whistle blower's tip -off, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission recovered yet the sum of N250,558,670 (Two Hundred and Fifty Million, Five Hundred and Fifty Eight Thousand, Six Hundred and seventy Naira) only, which is the parallel market naira value of the money recovered from a Bureau de Change operator in Balogun Market, Lagos today, April 10, 2017. The recovery followed information that about N250 million cash was being moved somewhere in the market for conversion into foreign currency. Operatives responded timely to the scene, met the money in the BDC office, but a large chunk of it had been converted into Euro and Pounds sterling. The BDC operators found in possession of the monies claimed they were acting on behalf of their boss who sent the money to them from one of the Northern states in Nigeria. The converted monies were €547,730 and £21,090 as well as N5,648,500 which was to be converted, but for the coming of EFCC operatives. Two
