President Buhari on January 4, attended the Guards of Brigade Regimental Dinner held at the Guards Brigade Scorpion Officers Mess in Abuja.Others in attendance were Minister of Defence, Brig General Mansur Mohammed Dan-Ali and Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General TY Buratai.

THE Senate, Wednesday adopted a motion seeking the amendment of the Procurement Act to compel all government agencies and institutions to give maximum priority to patronising locally made products. Adopting a two prayer motion moved by Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe (PDP Abia South) titled “Need For Patronisation of Made-in-Nigeria Goods,” the Senate urged the Federal Government to initiate and implement the first option policy on purchase of locally manufactured goods for any government procurement in all arms of government and every public funded organisation. It also urged both the National Assembly to amend the Procurement Act to ensure that as a matter of law, agencies of government and government funded institutions adopt ‘the made-in-Nigeria’ goods first option policy and where consideration is first given to the local industry before any other. Therefore, it is the sole responsibility of parents to ensure that they are knowledgeable on the potential negative aspects of technology use, as well as how it can be used in a responsible manner.  Therefore, technology should aid proper parenting if parents gets involved in how their children are using technology positively and productively.  However, it is nearly impracticable for parents to control everything that their children are exposed to through technological use. Osun Will Be Open Defecation Free By 2023

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, Water Resources, Rural and Community Affairs, Mr Muftau Oluwadare has revealed that State of Osun will be open defecation free by Year 2023.The Permanent Secretary made this known while delivering a speech at the debriefing meeting on review of Water Sanitation and Hygiene documents held at the Conference Room of the Ministry.Mr Oluwadare commended the stategovernment for the provision of toilets along major high ways aimed towards making the state open defecation free.
