#NeverAgain Throw Back Photos Of Ghanaians Being Deported From Nigeria In 1983, Ghana Deported Nigerians First

Well  former Ghanaian president Busia's Aliens Compliance Order of 1969 which forcefully ejected Nigerians out of Ghana was the beginning of the bad blood between the duo in the 80s and it is believed that Nigerian government might have revenged and acted based on this in 1983, Thank God for civilization and unity, everything seems to have become history.
Many do not story behind the “ Ghana must go ” bag right?.
If not, a quick recap.

It was in january 1983, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, the then president
of Nigeria held a press conference and ordered all immigrants
without the right papers to leave the country within a few
weeks. There were over two million people; one million were
Ghanaians, and the rest were from a mix of other West African
countries.

“If they don’t leave, they should be arrested and
tried, and sent back to their homes. Illegal
immigrants under normal circumstances, should
not be given any notice whatsoever. If you break a
law, then you have to pay for it”, he said in a
statement.

Anyway, here are pictures of Ghanaians returning to their
country after being expelled by Nigeria.
#NeverAgain will this happen, it is all left to diplomacy.
