Dayo Williams Blasts Top Government Officials That Abandon Offices To Receive President

The idea of a government official leaving his desk to go wait at the airport waiting for the President's arrival is a lazy way of demonstrating loyalty to the President. It reeks of official indolence and lack of what to do.
What do these senior government officials even do?
The President coming in and going out of the country should not attract any fanfare and pomp like the one accorded President Buhari on his arrival from Qatar. What has changed?
The first set of people who will ruin President Buhari are the official sycophants around him... And by the time the chips are down, they will be the first to jump ship.
I am not even talking about the online yes men whose rank is swelling by the day. They are just like the Jonathanians who destroyed President Jonathan with his own legendary leadership deficiency. Anything and everything the former President did was right.
The President has come in at a time when serious work needs to be done to fix the economy and get the country back to its feet again. The time is not for momentous occasion no matter how brief.' Igboro o rerin rara O"
For symbolic purposes that align with the current perilous time in the country, any slight official celebration for and around the President will amount to ridiculing the masses who voted him into power. The time calls for somber leadership! Those who can connect the dot will understand what the son of man's saying here.
He does not need any form of disguised or unveiled veneration from government officials. He's already a venerable man.
At most, the President should be welcomed at the airport by his Chief of Staff and those in the Protocol department. Nothing else. The business of governance should be conducted with all the seriousness it deserves.
