NOTORIOUS OAU PROPAGANDIST JOURNALIST EXPOSED, SANCTIONED BY COLLEAGUES, CORRESPONDENT MEMBERS DISTANCE SELF REPORTS

Should a member of the Pen profession expected to uphold the core ethics of journalism and promote professional competence of informing the public be involved in spreading propaganda? This is what has been puzzling students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife since one Adejumo Kabir has been repeatedly involved in promoting propaganda to indirectly generate traffic in to his blog. The Social media atmosphere of the Obafemi Awolowo University was thrown in to frenzy around last week Monday following the publication of a fictional story by Adejumo Kabir against Moshood Olajide, a member of the Obafemi Awolowo University Students Union Parliament. According to Tell Times Independent Investigation, since the restoration of the Obafemi Awolowo University Students Union last year November, different power blocs emerge among students to take over power of the prestigious Union, using this opportunity, many of the blocs resolved to the use of Art of Propaganda to hijack power from the technique of using journalists in the ivory tower to validate propaganda stories aimed at whittling down top political gladiators. Toppling the journalists used to execute such dirty job of propaganda is Adejumo Kabir of OAU Newstrack; Have known Kabir for about 2 years now, i know his strategies and the way he operate, he can post his Penis to his blog and share it all in the name of generating traffic. one of the three correspondents in Newstrack who does not want his name mentioned stated this in an interview with Tell Times. He is a typical politician, not a journalist. The Newstrack News member further alleged that Kabir lied that he was kidnapped in Lagos sometimes ago. The truth of the matter is that nobody kidnapped, he only use the allegation to gain sympathy within ACJ for his political ambition, he said. In his own comment, Akinshola Omotunde (Prof Yaayi), the Treasurer of National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS, OAU CHAPTER), Yaayi lamented. the decline in the development of ACJ OAU, It is really unfortunate that journalists and ACJ will be an easy pawn like this for OAU Politicians to settle score. This is not the type ACJ I met on campus when i gained admission, Yaayi said. Yaayi further urge OAU students to disregard any news coming from the Newstrack agency been used by Kabir to promote propaganda, The agency is the media tool been used by TBAMS, OAU Parliament speaker to victimize his opponents who does not agree with his unparliamentary procedures and political shenanigans of hijacking Students Union structure. They (OAU Students) should start seeing the agency as a political platform of politically victimizing people as the owner enjoy monetary payroll from some set of desperate OAU Politicians and the university management especially since after he has been promised bedspace accomodation, Yaayi asserted. Ironically, Tell Times Investigation further reveal that most members of the Association of Campus Journalists in OAU were given bedspace accomodation by OAU Management. Most of the bedspace accomodation given to ACJ OAU members was distributed around Fajuyi Hall according to our findings. Also speaking, a member of Newstrack who want his name under wrap confided to Tell Times how Kabir, the notorious OAU Propagandist always connive with some power blocs in OAU to sponsor propaganda with phoney names for the sake of getting stories to published and generate traffic to his blog. The member who want his name under wrap however distance self from reports emanating from the agency.

Please, don't tag me with anything coming from the agency. I will soon resign my membership. Kabir has been fighting me since I don't vote for him in the National Union of Campus Journalist (NUCJ) Election in Ibadan. A development some members of ACJ are frowning at, Kabir lack clout and credibility to win election like this, we. should have field a more matured and responsible person particularly from OAU Peeps News Agency or Megaphone to contest using the platform of ACJ OAU. It will be recalled that Kabir, the alleged propagandist journalist lost out in the NUCJ election for the post of General Secretary where he was floored by a contestant from another school. Will the ACJ OAU leadership rise up and sanitize the etiquettes of journalism in OAU? Will OAU Politicians continue to use ACJ members for their selfish objective? Will Propaganda journalism as been practiced by Mr Kabir of Newstrack be encouraged? These are the questions which can't be answered by the Tell Times as at the time of filing this report.
